His eye also become lifeless.while the whole epsode also seems to us a great turn from the first one in the same way, every anchor or protagonists struggles something in their life or carrier. maggie and jim totally seperated their lives into two channels. yes we can say it resembled the real life a lot. once the timings for two people are missed, they will miss each other the whole life probably. for the salin gas news, it just once again embodied USA'S mode of thinking: their citizens or militants are superior to others in the rest of the world. so they don;t give a damn about other country or people. maybe we as audiences are also like maggie or the others who are blown by the strike, so i also can't feel happy at the end for the proposaled marriage of two main actors.
